Do you follow a diet program and if you do does it work?
- Never a diet, but if you consume less calories than you're burning off in a day, you will be good. Also, I have always eaten 6 - 8 meals a day since I was really young, and that's always been pretty effective. You 'burn' calories because you must use energy to process the food, the less food you eat each time makes so you're not ravished, but not full, you should NEVER eat until you're FULL, just until you're not hungry anymore. Eat slowly, there are enzymes that tell you that you're not hungry anymore, and when you scarf down 3lbs of food in 3 minutes, you do not get that benefit!. Start with eggs or protein in the morning, jog or walk I have never done that, but weight x distance = kcal burned, and try to stay away from the middle of the grocery store Snacks, pops, etc. The fruits and veggies, dairy, and deli are all around the perimeter of most groceries, and that's what you want to eat. Nuts, Legumes, any veggies, peas I love peas, the frozen ones are like a buck and they're so GOOD, olive oil, eggs, meats, fish, etc, common sense! Voila!. Any "diet" should always be in conjunction of some sort of exercise, walking, jogging, mopping like crazy, it doesn't matter. I personally do not believe in diets, but just being healthy and caring for your body, it's the only one you have got and you'd better show it!
- Never have followed a diet program personally. However, I have kept fit by eating in moderation, and enjoying outdoor sports such as, surfing, waterskiing, jet skiing, tennis, biking, and hiking
- YES I HAVE FOLLOWED A DIET AND EXERCISE PROGRAM FOR 2 YEARS AND LOST 75 LBS. I DO THE 24 HR FITNESS SOLUTIONS PROGRAM AND THIS YEAR STARTED THE BI9GGEST LOSER PROIGRAM AND LOST ANOTHER 10 LBS. BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE PERMANENT LIFESTYLE CHANGES AND ENJOY EXERCISE TO BE SUCCESSFUL I THINK
- Just beginning a program called 20 / 20 Lifestyles. If is offered through ProClub based in Redmond, WA. From the research I have done this program is the total package. I will work with a trainer 3 days a week, meet with a dietician weekly, attend support group meetings, and meet with a DR and counselor at different stages during the program. I have tried so many diets and failed. I am hoping the total approach on this one will be a winner!
- Yes, I follow a program, not really a diet program though. I am in my late 40's am 5'10" and 175 pounds. I count calories. That's my diet plan, I pay attention to what I eat. I do not usually eat anything in the morning, I try but I do not always. I do eat around the middle of the day. no time here, my middle of the day is very different than most people. something light, a salad or a sandwich, water. dinner, light but about 800 calories. the trick, I do not eat anything after dinner, no munchies, no snacks. ya right. BUT. if I snack, I will snack on strawberries, or cherrie tomatoes and the like, not cookies and junk. The trick. I also go to a gym and run 2 or 3 miles every other day as well as working out on the machines. The days I do not go to a gym I go for a run with the dogs, or a swim with friends and the boys. Yes it takes time, but more importantly. it takes dedication. Just eat right and exercise, yep, that's it. all of the diets, all of the diet programs, foods, all of it will have the disclaimer. part of a healthy and balanced diet and exercise program. My son burst out laughing watching tv recently, at a commercial for some yogurt. probiotic culture. anyway, at the end of the commercial and spoken so fast you really have to listen to catch it. part of a healthy diet and exercise program. Satisfied. yes. I still eat pizza, burgers and junk, but not as much. and man I tell you what. an extra 30 minutes on a treadmill because you decided to have 2 pieces of pie. I actually get queasy when I see how or what some people are putting into their pie hole, it is disgusting. Equaly. the people that the disgusting part are all over weight and well, not the most healthy specimens of humanity
- I do not follow a program, I use common sense. I have found that if I choose mostly low fat, high fiber foods, and keep simple carbohydrates to a minimum, I feel best. I do not eliminate any food, and I am not compulsive about any food. In a nutshell btw, nuts are great, Low fat, high fiber, fresh is best, variety, and moderation
- I did not follow a program. I chugged water often and did yoga Namaste Yoga on fit tv a couple times a week and lost fifty pounds in a few months
- The best diet program is one designed to meet your specific personal needs. This is done by seeing a Registered Die ian, who is a nutrition expert. Find one at eatright.org and get the facts, because not everyone is the same nor has the same nutritional needs
- I eat anything I want and still maintain my weight, so yes I would say it works
